Jonathan Brookins is not your average Mixed Martial Artist. He’s a decorated wrestler and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu student, with a love of old school boxing. He’s a free-thinker, whose spirituality is ever-expanding, and whose mind is always evolving. He’s a son, brother, uncle, mentor, teammate, and friend.
Jonathan’s fast paced performances and mellow demeanor have caught Florida fight fans’ interest for years, and now he’s on the brink of prominence with his appearance on the UFC’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter 12′. Check back often to see what is going on in the life and mind of Portland, St. Louis, Ocala, and Orlando’s own – JONATHAN BROOKINS.

Great work Jonathan in your TUF fight. In your clip you mentioned things about the universe and I like where your mind is at but you mentioned we are little and insignificant or something like that.
Food for thought…
In the word `small`you have `all`
Because we are the universe and have the power to be everything.
Words are cutting. Add `s ` to `word`and you have `sword`
In the beginning as the word and the word was with God. Man was made in God`s image.
Human
Hu – light
Man – mind
Human is a radiant mind
Mantra
Man – mind
Tra- wave
Mantra is the use of sound through word to alter brainwave patterns.
Mind is over matter and matter is subject to mind.
You have the power of the word because you have the power of God.
God, gud(scandinavian), gott(german)…we get `gut`from this…trust your gut instinct or go with your gut feel because god isn`t out there, it is in you.

Aloha, Jonathan! I’m a big fan of MMA and I have really enjoyed watching you on TUF. Your comments depicting your spiritual perspective resonated with me. I am part of a global communication company, Ike Pono, whose mission is to spread the value of Aloha around the world.
Ike Pono is Hawaiian for “doing what you know is right from a place of who you truly are”. By living Aloha, you can be in ‘pono’ more often, which is a place of essence and how we entered the world. We provide personal transformation seminars set in the context of love and respect which cover awareness and discovery, empowerment and vision. Ike Pono’s roots originate in the beginnings of the human potential movement in the 50′s and Hawaiian native culture throughout its existence.
Check out http://www.ikeponohi.com for much richer information on the philosophy and mission. I believe you will truly resonnate with Ike Pono because of your beingness.
We would be proud and honored to sponsor you. I have never sponsored a fighter before so could you let me know how I can support you? We are in our infancy yet about to blow up worldwide. The experience changes peoples’ lives by allowing them to realize their own greatness by conecting to their essence. The seminar is experientially-based so people learn by experiencing and connecting with others.
Thank you for being such a positive role-model. I really appreciate watching a competitor push for his all while holding love and respect so firmly in his heart. I wish you all the best!

Hey man – greetings from Mexico! Congratulations!!! I was worry whole first round but at the end that was a great victory and nice fight to watch. Both of you guys – amazing job!
Would be an honor to know you personally – I see some sketching done at the top of your page man – yours? Fighting artist – now thats something! Best of luck man – let me know if you want to chill out in Mayan ruins in Palenque. My house is your house.
That was first Ultimate Fighter show I was watching – and I loved the way you talked about your motivation, way of life, enormous respect for opponents. Truly inspirational – not only in fight but life in general. Myself I am painter and thinker – attacked I would probably run or go for the eyes LOL. Still you can be inspiration so thx for all the thoughts given here and there. I want to thank you for a great show and be sure I will be checking on your next moves

Hey Jonathan I hear you may be out of action for a while, or at least are getting x rays for your foot. What exactly happened there? When can we expect to see you fighting again?

Hi Jonathan,
Greetings from Ireland. Congratulations on your victory, I was delighted to see you do so well. What I admire even more than your ability is your humility. It’s a pleasure to see and I think you’re a fantastic role model for all of us. Good to see you’re tweeting more often since you won. Best of luck with your future UFC career.

Whats up Jonathan?!?!
My name’s Cory O’Connor. Man, your words on the show really inspired me, and your actions spoke even louder. You just really showed a lot of your true spirit on that show. I gotta say I’m probably the biggest Jonathan Brookins fan man. I didn’t care how you won, I was rooting for you the whole time. I seen all your fights and interviews online man, and I really believe in you. I came from a hard background as well so I respect you even more knowing you overcame all of that and still ended up on top. It would be a DREAM to ever be able to train with you. If you ever come out to Dallas, Texas I’d love to meet you man.
Sincerely,
Cory O’Connor

Jonathan,
I know you have received probably a million fan e mails and rightfully so as you are deserving of the recognition. I’m just your average guy from Atlanta GA who works 50 hours a week for less than what I think I deserve and have a mundane existance. However, it is important to state how much you inspire me as a person to try and always give it my best. That s truly the only thing any of us can control. I saw you on The UF series and man, you are just first class. You are a winner. I never forget you saying “you don’t have to like me but you WILL respect me”. Keep up the good work and you will always have a fan here.
regards,
Matt
